Kierowniczka Zakładu Psychologii Międzykulturowej i Rodzaju w Instytucie Psychologii UG, ekspertka ds. różnorodności, trenerka oraz mediatorka. Naukowo zajmuje się procesami przeciwdziałającymi uprzedzeniom i dyskryminacji. Kierowniczka międzynarodowego konsorcjum badawczego Towards Gender Harmony (www.towardsgenderharmony.ug.edu.pl) gdzie wspólnie z 150-osobowym zespołem z całego świata bada współczesne rozumienie kobiecości i męskości oraz stereotypy płci w ponad 60 krajach. Jako edukatorka międzykulturowa uczestniczyła w tworzeniu Gdańskiego Modelu Integracji Imigrantów i Imigrantek. Współautorka książki: Między Grupami. Przewodnik po relacjami z ludźmi, którzy się od nas różnią. Wyd. Smak Słowa. Ekspertka medialna: Gazeta Wyborcza, Radio Gdańsk, Dziennik Bałtycki, Newsweek, III Program Polskiego Radia, TVN. W 2017r. jej działalność naukowa została wyróżniona przez jury konkursu Sukces pisany szminką w Kategorii Nauka i Biznes, podkreślano „szczególną wartość jej badań dla innowacji społecznych wyprzedzających epokę oraz budowania różnorodności w biznesie”. W 2022 roku została nominowana do nagrody Naukowy Sztorm Roku przez Gazetę Wyborczą oraz znalazła się na trzecim miejscu wśród dziesięciu zasłużonych dla Pomorza i nominowana do nagrody Pomorzanin/Pomorzanka 2021 za nieustającą walkę ze stereotypami płci.
dr hab Natasza Kosakowska-Berezecka, works as an Associate Professor and head in the Division of Cross-Cultural Psychology and Psychology of Gender at the University of Gdańsk (Poland). Her main area of research and practice is cross-cultural psychology of gender and her special interests are social change and cultural cues fostering gender equality within societies across the world. Currently she is a PI in Towards Gender Harmony project, in which over 100 collaborators in 62 countries are testing the contemporary understanding of masculinity and femininity (www.towardsgenderharmony.ug.edu.pl) and EQUAMAN – project investigating the relationship between masculine norms and men’s well being. She also applies her academic expertise into practitioners work as diversity & inclusion trainer. She lectures at Polish universities but also abroad (Arctic University of Norway, Tromso,
She is an active member and Regional Representative for Europe of the International Association of Cross-Cultural Psychology (IACCP) and European Association of Social Psychology (EASP). Currently she is an active member of the organizing team of IACCP Culture & Psychology Summer School.
As diversity expert she also co-authored the Integrative Model for Migrants for City of Gdańsk. In 2017 her research and scientific accomplishments have been acknowledged “as of unique value for social innovations, forward thinking in building diversity within business” by the jury of the Success Written with a Lipstick – competition awarding Polish women for their merits in building innovative environment in different areas of business. In 2022 she was nominated as one of the most influential people in the Pomeranian region for her scientific contributions in the field of gender equality.
